M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) in Hong Kong, will present M+ at Night: No Label Fits All in the evening on Friday, 6 June 2025. M+ invites visitors to immerse themselves in the diverse ways of partying with a blend of pop, jazz and a cappella live performances. To round off the Spring Season of M+ at Night series, the event will feature live performance by local musician Serrini as the June edition headliner, alongside DJ performances, engaging creative activities and refreshing drinks. M+ will be transformed into a dynamic art party where everyone is welcome to enjoy the night in their unique way.
In M+ at Night: No Label Fits All, visitors can embrace the complexity of who they are and discover the joy of living beyond labels. This evening is all about redefining what it means to party in their way. During the event, ticketholders will get access to all General Admission galleries after regular museum hours.
The exciting line-up of M+ at Night: No Label Fits All on 6 June 2025 is as follows:
Live Music Performance
Serrini
Serrini is a Hong Kong-based musician whose pop style shifts fluidly with her mood. Her music spans a wide range of genres—from mainstream pop ballads and electronic dance tracks to playful love songs and beyond. Fans often liken her live performances to spiritual experiences. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Cultural Studies, Serrini infuses her work with academic insight and literary flair. Outside of her solo career, Serrini also works behind the scenes as a ghostwriter, crafting lyrics and melodies for other artists.
Music & Play
Fountain de Chopin
Join us for a live music performance by Fountain de Chopin, as they present the theme song and score from Blue Giant. They will also play several jazz standards referenced from the film and the original manga, seamlessly integrating the storyline into their performance.
SENZA A Cappella
SENZA A Cappella (SENZA), formed in 2009, is a Hong Kong-based pop music group distinguished by their a cappella style and daring experiments. As a homegrown music group in Hong Kong, Cantopop elements and nuanced local flavours are the blood running through SENZA’s veins. The group released its debut single Circle of Fifths in 2018, and later a full album with the same title in 2020. The critical acclaim of the album saw SENZA be nominated across mainstream and independent music awards in Hong Kong. Apart from making their own music, SENZA is often found in the local pop scene collaborating with iconic artists, providing backing vocals for recordings, and performing in concerts as well as major public events, including The 41st Hong Kong Film Awards, Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival, and The Ultimate Song Chart Awards.
DJ Performance
Fabsabs (Cantomania)
Hong Kong-based DJ Fabsabs' energetic sets and party forward song choices have cemented his name over the years. The organiser of Cantomania, Hong Kong’s longest running Cantopop and Cantonese Disco night, Fabsabs has run Canton Disco parties in the likes of Soho House, 宀Club - Hong Kong, Quality Goods Club, Franks, and at major festivals like Clockenflap and HKT x WESTK POPFEST. Fabsabs presents radio at Eaton Hotel, promoting local artists on his Cantomania radio show, and put out his first EPs featuring his eclectic style in 2022.
BEAT FRIDAY
BEAT FRIDAY is a unique Hong Kong DJ duo, including INK and Ballshing, which focuses on throwing Canton Disco Parties and spinning retro Cantopop. INK is an established songwriter, composer and producer while Ballshing is known as DJ in both clubs and on the RTHK Radio. The result is a Canto Disco set mainly focusing on 1980s to 2000s Cantopop sound, with self-made remixes and mashups adding special flavour to their performances. These unexpected twists and turns, paired with a wonderful balance of the classics, create innovative and memorable moments that keep audience’s yearning for more.
STEFFUNN
Steffunn has been an active drummer in Hong Kong’s Cantopop and indie music scene for over twenty years, performing in countless concerts, tours, numerous gigs and albums for a wide range of local artists and singers.
Steffunn began his DJ journey in 2006 with Heavy HK, spinning drum and bass and reggae. In 2012, he co-founded Canto Disco nights with his DJ crew, bringing nostalgic and danceable Canto disco sets to Freespace Happening, Art Basel and various other events.
More recently, Steffunn appeared at a diverse range of events: from Hong Kong Arts Festival at Tai Kwun, to his monthly sets at Soho House, Boomerang, Mercury Recalls, and major festivals like Clockenflap.
